2019 Reunion

IT’S OFFICIAL !!!!!! Note the dates on the flyer, we have officially declared the 2019 Annual Reunion  a 4 day show,although the schedule will remain about the same for the next show. Just more fun(officially)


Here is the rough schedule of events for the reunion:

Tuesday, Sept. 10th   .10:00 AM open Ed Prince building and set up for the show., Note, the building will open daily at 8:00 AM and will be secured at night with security on site.

Wednsday, Sept.11th  11:30 AM group ride to the Dairy Queen for lunch  , 1:30 PM obstacle course to help us hone our riding skills, around 2:30 group ride downtown to see a new mural  depicting the Doodlebug and other points of interest to the community , 6:00 PM dinner at the Grid Iron

Thursday, Sept.  12th, 11:00 AM group ride to the Grid Iron for lunch, appx 2:00 PM group ride to Briggs Woods for a tour of the park ( 100th anniversary of the park)  The tour will be led by John Laird, Park Ranger/Naturalist and will prove to be an interesting ride.       6:00 PM,  Group dinner,Ladies  choice

Friday, Sept 13th-  10:00 AM group ride to Bonebright Museum, Coffee sponsored by First State Bank  1:00 PM ride to the Airport  2:00 PM Ladies tour of the Jane Young House( $5.00 admission). and tour of the Kendall Young Library( free)   5:00 PM  Pork burger full meal at fairgrounds open to the public(,$5.00)  Served by the local FFA group with all proceeds to them.

Saturday, Sept.14th.,9:00 AM group ride to Briggs Woods on the river trail(11.4 mile round trip on the very scenic concrete bike and walking path ,  group rides as scheduled through out the day    2:00 PM Annual meeting  with drawing for door prizes, including a new B&S engine + 2  tires and tubes( courtesy of Jim Kilau( Jim’s  Scooter Parts)    6:30 PM Banquet in the Ed Prince Building $12.00 per person

Sunday, Sept.15th.  8:00AM Farewell Brunch at Hy Vee on your own

*On Wed. and Thurs 9:30 AM to 3::00 PM, Legacy Learning will conduct a quilt block workshop at a cost to the participants

The required liability insurance coverage for the reunion does not extend beyond the Hamilton County Fairgrounds. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT ANYONE PARTICIPATING IN THE VARIOUS RIDES CARRY THEIR OWN LIABILITY INSURANCE.

Some camping sites are available at the Hamilton Co. Fairgrounds with electrical hookups. These spots are just inside the main gate and to your left along the North fence.
These are the only sites permitted.
WiFi is also available at the Fairgrounds at no charge.

When registering with the motels please identify yourself as a ” Doodlebugger ” to take advantage of any possible rate reduction
